Closet: Shopping- Day

That´s what I´ve been wearing last saturday for meeting up with some friends and doing a little shopping. Last week the weather has been much better so I was able to wear something rather light and even ballet flats! I just  took those photos in the dressing room with my phone- sorry about that. ;)

Fashion: Spring Style- Guide

After recent snowing events in Colorado I´m looking forward to the "real" spring even more! Although a couple days ago it was the 1st day of spring it still feels like the 5th day of winter to me...
Well, to get into the spring-mood I´ve been looking for some things I´d really like to wear right now and came up with these eight "categories".

Recipe: Veggie-Omelette

Lately I´m trying to eat a little more healthy including less carbs, less candy, chocolate etc. Especially for dinner I want to keep it light, so I came up with this recipe to which I was inspired by Pinterest- as always. ;-) I´m just so addicted to Pinterest! The recipe is carb-free, includes lots of protein and healthy (and of course yummy) veggies. It is very easy and quick to prepare but still so good!

New In: Sequin High Heels

Say hello to my new babies from Enzo Angiolini- it was love at first sight! When I first saw them at Nordstrom I wasn´t really sure if I should buy them because I thought 170$ is a lot for shoes I can´t wear that often because they are so extravagant. But some days later I decided shoes can never be too extravagant, went to Nordstrom again and surprise they were on sale for half the price! So I bought them without a doubt and it felt even better since they were on sale- I mean those shoes for 85$, that´s really a bargain. I´m so so in love! Now I just need to find an occasion to wear them. :-)

Favorite: Beauty January 2013

I wanted to share with you guys my absolute beauty favorite from January 2013: The Prep and Prime BB Beauty Balm von MAC. I think I bought it the first week of January when I got my make up done at the MAC-Store. As soon as she put it on my skin I totally fell in love with it! I´m not a big fan of wearing huge layers of make up, so that Beauty Balm is just perfect for me- not too heavy but still covers redness and gives your face an even skin tone.

I wanted to share the songs I listen to the most lately- they remind me of spring and when I hear them playing a smile appears on my lips. Some might be a little older or just from last summer but I still listen to them. What´s your "Top Ten" for the upcoming spring? :)

Food: Protein-Pancakes

My favorite food for breakfast lately are the Protein Pancakes which recipe I found on Laurenconrad.com . They are totally healthy and contain a lot of protein, plus they keep me full for a long time. Oh and they are gluten free and contain no flour or sugar.

Closet: " Oui, Oui Monsieur"

As some of you might know- I´m in love with moustache-prints! I don´t really like the "real" moustaches in men´s faces but the one printed anywhere I just adore. So I added a new item to my closet bought at Pacsun. Everyone who follows me on Instagram (@marinascloset) knows already what I´m talking about.

New In: Just Fab

Thanks to Fashion-Insider I got one free credit from Justfab which I won during their advent calendar in december. I never got to order something- until now! I chose one pair of really high black ankle boots and a pair of black high heels which remind me of the ones from Steve Madden I already own (see here) just in black and without showing any toes- what I like because during winter I´m not a big fan of peeptoes. ;)

I´ve been to New York City over the first weekend in December

New Year´s Resolutions 2013

Every single year it is the same: I have so many things I want to work on the upcoming year and I always swear "This year I will really do it!". But as you know 90% of what we resolved to do, we won´t follow. Whatever, this year I will really do it! If you have nothing you can hold on, you can´t break anything, right? ;)

Here are some resolutions I try to follow this year:

1) I want to take more pictures of special moments which I want to keep in my memory- with my friends, when I´m traveling and also more pictures of my outfits! I really need to take the time and take some, I just forget it all the time...

2) Three meals a day and two snacks (coffee excluded)- Sometimes I skip a meal and then just snack, I try to make a routine.

3) I want to get a routine in my exercise, too- Five days a week just a 10 minute workout at home (stretching, sit-ups, etc.) and at least two times gym a week.

4) Wearing more lipstick! That´s not a serious resolution, it´s just that I don´t wear lipstick that often but I find it really looks so good and makes a outfit more chic if you wear some. 

5) Last but not least I want to write more blogposts- I really like to blog but sometimes I just forget about it, even if a lot of things are crossing my mind what I could blog about. We´ll see. 

Cross your fingers for me that I will follow my resolutions! I just think positive and try my best. ;)

Closet: "Uptown Girl"

The first weekend of December I have been to New York with a friend- it was just awesome and I love love love NY! Even though it was really really cold (compared to the weather of Colorado I´m used to), we had so much fun and we´ve seen a lot. You can imagine how exhausted I´ve been when I was back home- a trip to a city is just always combined with a lot of walking: "Oh, it´s only 5 blocks away, we can definitely walk" and then you end up walking for 45 minutes because the 5 blocks aren´t that close as you thought. So on Monday morning I was so tired when my alarm rang at 6:30 I didn´t even want to get up to work. But that´s just how it is. ;)
It has been my second trip to New York and it was definitely not the last one! To everyone who hasn´t been there yet, a trip to the Big Apple is really worth it- even it´s only for a few days!

So that´s what I was wearing when we were strolling through the city and doing a bit of shopping at 5th Avenue. Actually I had a black leggins on but it was so damn cold I bought this wine read tights to wear over it- we found a store which sells amazing, warm and affordable clothes. It´s a japanese store on 5th Ave which is called "Uniqlo"- I´ve never heard of it before but I really liked it. Those pictures were shot in front of the famous "New York Public Library" which you probably all know from "The day after tomorrow" or Sex and the city- were Big and Carrie wanted to get married and finally didn´t end up to.

In den letzten Tagen und Wochen habe ich sehr oft bei MAC vorbeigeschaut und auch jedes Mal etwas gekauft- ich kann einfach nie widerstehen, sie haben soo tolle Sachen! Zuerst bin ich nur hin, weil ich eine neue Mascara brauchte, da meine alte langsam leer wird. Dann hab ich auch gleich den Primer nochmal gekauft, den ich echt super finde und schon fast ein Jahr lang benutze. Ein anderes Mal habe ich einen neuen Concealer gekauft, da ich mit meinem alten von Clinique nicht mehr so zufrieden war und gleich ein paar neue Pinsel und den passenden Cleanser dazu. Die Pinsel habe ich in so einem Set gekauft, da ich ehrlich gesagt nicht so der Make Up- Profi bin, und mich Stunden schminke, deshalb fand ich das Set echt gut, da es ziemlich günstig und für mich trotzdem ausreichend ist.

During the last few weeks and days I´ve been at the MAC-Store several times and I never could resist buying something- I love the products there! At first I only went there to get a new Mascara, so I also just bought the primer again, which is so great and I´ve been using it for almost a year now. The next time I bought a new Concealer, because my old one from Clinique isn´t that good anymore. And with the Concealer I also bought some new brushes and a cleanser. The brushes came in a set, because I´m just not that into make up and stuff, so this set was perfect because the price is really good and the brushes are still perfect for me.

Closet: "Night Out"

I wore this outfit last Saturday for going out at night. I compared a black skirt with a small peblum from Forever XXI with a white detailed shirt from Mango and added a necklace from Forever XXI. I love love love the necklaces from there, they aren´t expensive but so lovely! Definitely one of my favorite stores to shop for cheap jewelry, I like buying some clothes there, too though the quality isn´t that good. For shoes I chose my new simple pair of black high heels from Steve Madden. I love those shoes, although they almost killed me that night- but that´s normal with new shoes, I guess. ;)

Closet: "Green and Casual"

Due to the fact that I´m living in the USA now, I decided to write my blogposts both in English and in German. But seriously my English isn´t perfect, so I hope you can forgive me when Im making mistakes. I´m really trying to keep up with Blogposts but I don´t have that much time and when I´m heading out I always forget to take pictures of my outfits. Besides I don´t have a photographer who takes pictures of my outfits... ;)

I tried to keep this outfit pretty simple but I wanted it to be a bit chic, too. I compared a white blouse and a light green cardigan from H&M with a jeggins from Only. I love the green color of the cardigan but it looks a bit different than in those pictures. The jeans is making the whole look a bit more casual and I really like that. Sorry about the lighting! 

Da ich ja jetzt in den USA lebe, habe ich beschlossen, meine Blogposts in Englisch und in Deutsch zu verfassen. Ich rede hier den ganzen Tag Englisch und so kann mein Blog auch auf internationaler Ebene gelesen werden, trotzdem ist mein Englisch wirklich nicht perfekt, also ich hoffe, ihr könnt über mein Fehler hinwegsehen. :) Ich versuche wirklich so oft es geht einen Post zu schreiben, aber ich hab einfach nicht viel Zeit und wenn ich ausgehe, vergesse ich immer Fotos von meinem Outfit zu machen. Außerdem hab ich hier keinen Fotograf, der meine Outfits festhält... ;)

Ich habe versucht dieses Outfit einfach aber dennoch schick zu halten. Ich habe eine weiße Bluse und ein hellgrüner Cardigan von H&M mit einer Jeggins von Only kombiniert. Die Jeans macht das ganze ein bisschen mehr casual und das gefällt mir. Sorry für das schlechte Licht!
